Lesson #9 Life long Learning

I really think this by far was one of the best lessons so far on 2.1. With so much information at our fingertips, what a shame it would be to ignore all these oppurtunies that could make ones life so much fuller.
The fruitcake recycling on Life Hacker opens so many more windows so to really make that cake a entertaining & useful part of the holidays.
More seriously, Berkleemusic is great, those piano lesson could soon become a reality, something I've wanted to do for myself for a very long time. Ehow & Expert Village are terrific and really user friendly, a great way to get the know how that is needed for your next project.
All of these site have so much to offer, thanks for the introduction... I really enjoyed looking at them.

Lesson #8

As far as the OCLS Strategic Plan it really seems to be right on the money. The vehicles of communication are terrific, they're interesting to where they really pique your imagination and are inviting enough to make you want to join in. Again, there is something for everyone to share in, your age, no matter what isn't a berrier to any of the options that are provided, sometimes maybe being on-line with some of these avenues gives us more confidence to try something new. Many new ways to join in & participate in different methods of communication. One of my personal favorites is Orlando Memory.
OCLS seems to be on track in communication arena and always moving forward to try to give us as patrons & staff new an innovative way to reach out and experience a new or better way of getting in touch & improving the road to get there.

Lesson #7

I enjoyed Farecast & Kayak, I love any looking and planning for upcomming travel adventures especially when they involve great prices, it's more I can spend when I get where I'm going.
I've used zillow in the past it's interesting and fun to look around. What I really enjoyed was "Im Cooked", I'm one who enjoys cooking but especially baking anytime but most certainly at holiday time.
Geneology searching is a great interest of mine, something I've steadily done for the past 18 or 19 years.
I had alot of enjoyment with this lesson...

Lesson #6

Nice break, Looked around a little, not alot, had too many other things to do for holiday preperations. Forgot to look for the eggs, I'll check the frig!!!

Lesson #5

Change, love it, hate it, or just go with it & enjoyed the benefits of newness that come with the process. It's always so much more comfortable to go with what you know rather than learn a new method and be awkward and clumsey at first. But change is what can improve our lives whether at home, work or a social situation.Change is what keeps us up to date with what is new & upcoming in the future and to gives the best of what we have to to people, the patrons we deal with daily. This is what they expect and look forward to from us, and to remain in the same spot and become stagnant is just simply disappointing and out of the question.Change and moving forward is so much more exciting & satisfying for everyone, you learn & you give and everyone grows.

lesson #4

Open Source Info enables you to look, see & question just about anything and everything you could possibly imagine. It gives you the ability to express your personal point of view on any given topic and gets thoughts and ideas of so many others in the return process.
LiveLeak is really good, sometimes a bit more graphic than I really like but again I really like the frankness in which it comes across. I enjoyed Askville. Facebook puts you back in touch with alot of friends that sometimes you just lose touch with over time because time just slips away.
OCLS has really come along way with reminders "almost due alerts" something that anyone can appreciate, downloading books & music, library alerts of up & comming classes & events.
We have so many more avenues to learn, share & discuss ideas, thoughts and plans. Our communications highways just keep getting broader much to my delight.

Lesson #3

Now that Thanksgiving is over & Christmas is on the way it seemed just the right time to take a serious look at Technology & Wellness.
With proper diet and exercise we can each become personal winners in the race to take better care of ourselves, so that we may all live a longer and healthier existance. This new lifestyle benefits our blood pressure, heartrate & weight, the more dedication we give the more we recieve in the form of better health.
The Wii is amazing for any age & geared for such a range of interests, maybe something we use to enjoy and over time have neglected or something that we have possibly wanted to try and now that opportunity is available.
The music video were really good, seems like it will get your heartrate moving in the right direction, up...
Palites on you-tube were rather intersing with the different beathing techniques. All in all with everything that is available it seens there is something for everyone to make excerising more enjoyable for a better quality of life.

Back At It...

Back for round 2.1, a little slow getting started but looking forward to it just the same, always up for something new. The blogging song, well, it's different, I guess we all have different tastes when it comes to music.
